Who did not like the pay for holiday item idea?

I, for one, didn't. No other MMORPG does this. You're supposed to give out holiday items for free to encourage players to stay, not make them pay for more stuff. I really think you guys deserve money, but I don't like the idea of paying for things that other MMOs take for granted.

It's actually a nice step away from ani packs where the only way you could get them is thru the CS. This way, the price is controlled-- players can't get greedy. I disliked Jolly Jones when it came out last year, but now that I've seen the fires of hell, the pit of a volcano doesn't look so bad.

Yes, but it's a solid week before it disappears, and you don't really wear your costume after Halloween is finished, now do you? It caters to the theme of the holiday, and those who like the outfit can pay for it, while the rest go back to the rest of the game, no worse for wear. Personally, I liked this halloween a fair bit, and I'm looking forward to see what happens in the future, either good or bad.

So true Taranta. I agree 100%. Thing is, there are those who can afford to waste cash on PWI, and those who can't; You will never keep everybody happy. Therefore, there should be a cheaper alternative to holiday items. (Eg. An item that lasts a day, for say 10k) I don't see why people make such a fuss over stuff that is free (the 7 day trial). The incentive is, if you like it, you can buy it perm. I fail to see how that makes it a bad idea, just a marketing scheme.

There is always christmas, last christmas the event was completely unrelated to the cash shop although I have my doubts for this year....

People liked last year's event-- Jolly Jones will likely be there with some sort of CS pack, as well as the same event. You overestimate the dev's laziness. What's easier than re-using the codes from last year...?

Yes and so is the blessing.. But the holiday is also temporary.
