Now, about the original poster's issue... Have you tried checking your firewalls and/or anti-virus programs to make sure they're not affecting game traffic? Any exceptions you set may have been changed as a result of the patch.

I too experience lag more often in PWI.

When traveling long distances via a land mount. Such as farming materials, often mobs/NPC "appear" a few seconds later. When entering a town after a long run on my kirin, all the NPCs take up to 10 seconds to load/appear.

I have checked my connections. Ran speedtests, all my speeds are the same as before this lag. No firewall/anti-virus is slowing down my connection. As I tried disabling all my firewalls/anti-viruses and retrying, but it still have major delay/lag for loading.

could this be related to another strange phenomena me has noticed?
when running in a FB/BH sometimes me see....phantom images of me squad members just standing there (they even appear to be there on the minimap) and me can even click them!
then they suddenly disappear.

I experienced more noticable lag since the patch, and I have never had either of those two devices on my computer. [anti-virus and FW's fail, IMO- partitioned hard drives ftw.]

partitioning hard drives offers little to no protection lol..partitioning hard drives worked for about...2 seconds? then they/we figured how to get around it.

I'm going to need some more information from you about your computer.

Find out what the model number for your PC is. Check the documentation that came with your PC, or look on the back or bottom of your PC for the model Number.

Please tell us the manufacturer's name of your system too! (Like HP, Dell, Toshiba, etc.)

Next, go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista/7), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:
