@^: one of the reasons I have an issue with people saying "just carry chi pots" is that they have a cool down period longer than lending hand. A veno can shoot spark and build it back before Lending Hand cools down, which is half the time it takes for a chi pot to cool down. Yeah, its nice to have em if you're not with a veno that can shoot you spark. But if you (barb) run out of chi while its on cool down, things can go bad if your DD's hit a crit spike at the wrong time.

Barbs and BMs should carry chi pots (as should everyone else). Lending Hand only works once every 60 seconds, 15 once you get Demon/Sage, but that's L99 skill. The other classes shouldn't always mooch off of venos for sparks.

IMO a veno that says "carry chi pots" is like a cleric saying "I'm not buffing you - carry your own apo pots for that". Why spark a BB cleric after (s)he's put up BB? seems kinda pointless IMO unless you're going with a cleric that doesn't use event pots or a charm. Yes I do realize that as a team we and our pets do get lots of DPS in comparison to other classes. But the fact remains that our spark skills don't deal as much damage as other classes' spark skills do - nor do our sparks affect our pets damage output either. So IMO, it is a waste of spark. I see you list out reasons why you like to use spark - some of them are of course useful in certain situations. However, when you go with a barb that tanks (which is what this whole thread is about, not about you tanking a boss) - you don't need to spark to heal your pet, and you don't need 2 sparks for Bramble hood. Neither you nor your pet are getting hit unless its an AoE boss. I've yet to come across a boss on my veno which I was not able to DD, shoot spark to the tank, and keep myself and my pet alive through the whole fight without sparking. Just because you have spark doesn't mean you should run about casting advanced skills. There's a proper time and place for stuff like that. I just think its plain silly to see a venomancer casting Parasitic Nova in a boss fight. Leave the double spark kill spells to the wizards
