I think everyone should carry their own chi pots but i don't cause i dun need em but everyone should be self sufficient if u dont' have pots ok well ask and if u do use em and ask for a spark but don;t rely on one class to keep sparked it's not worth the effort or the time in w/e time it takes to chan the lending hand u could have already used pot and flesh reamed or sparked or even set BB.Just use the lending hand how u want too. I mean after all the game is how u want to play if no one likes it to heck with ya

@^: one of the reasons I have an issue with people saying "just carry chi pots" is that they have a cool down period longer than lending hand. A veno can shoot spark and build it back before Lending Hand cools down, which is half the time it takes for a chi pot to cool down. Yeah, its nice to have em if you're not with a veno that can shoot you spark. But if you (barb) run out of chi while its on cool down, things can go bad if your DD's hit a crit spike at the wrong time.

I only send BB spark after the BB has been established, never before unless asked to. I spark all the time in instances where I am able to, which also helps with healing my pet if they are tanking. Otherwise my sparks are for me and my skills, most notably, Bramble Hood.

Barbs and BMs should carry chi pots (as should everyone else). Lending Hand only works once every 60 seconds, 15 once you get Demon/Sage, but that's L99 skill. The other classes shouldn't always mooch off of venos for sparks.
IMO a veno that says "carry chi pots" is like a cleric saying "I'm not buffing you - carry your own apo pots for that". Why spark a BB cleric after (s)he's put up BB? seems kinda pointless IMO unless you're going with a cleric that doesn't use event pots or a charm. Yes I do realize that as a team we and our pets do get lots of DPS in comparison to other classes. But the fact remains that our spark skills don't deal as much damage as other classes' spark skills do - nor do our sparks affect our pets damage output either. So IMO, it is a waste of spark. I see you list out reasons why you like to use spark - some of them are of course useful in certain situations. However, when you go with a barb that tanks (which is what this whole thread is about, not about you tanking a boss) - you don't need to spark to heal your pet, and you don't need 2 sparks for Bramble hood. Neither you nor your pet are getting hit unless its an AoE boss. I've yet to come across a boss on my veno which I was not able to DD, shoot spark to the tank, and keep myself and my pet alive through the whole fight without sparking. Just because you have spark doesn't mean you should run about casting advanced skills. There's a proper time and place for stuff like that. I just think its plain silly to see a venomancer casting Parasitic Nova in a boss fight. Leave the double spark kill spells to the wizards

*sigh* The point of sparking the cleric after they put up BB is so that if something happens and BB drops, they do not have wait so long or work for so much Chi to put it up again. Use some common sense.

I cast Para. Nova just because I like to and do not it often. It's just silly to use Nova when I could easily Spark and use my three hardest hitting skills to get better damage. Triple Spark owns all.

Moreover, I was given the chance to tank Wurlord on my Veno. Because we only had a BB cleric, I use my chi pots + bramble hood to charm tick less. Do not belittle the veno class. You appear to be putting them down with Clerics as support only. Venos do not have to use Lending Hand unless it is asked for. It goes without saying you spark the Cleric when the put up BB in case of an accident (i.e. their MP runs out because their charm died or they forgot to pot or the boss interrupts). Tanks should ask. I do not read minds. If they don't say they need sparks they do not get any.

ok stop this argument about chi its going off topic
this thread is about a barb who wants to know what he needs to tank TT1-1

but heres some things about the skil that maybe off some use
getting chi from a veno is nice but not neccercary theres tactics on keeping chi and agro with no pots as barb(just experiment a litle bit with skils as aclarity and frighten and keep bestial rage active as much as you can) only time its reccomended is when you need to invoke yet stil possible without pots or lending hand
but in the end its up to the veno how she will use her sparks

True, but that doesn't mean a veno is adverse to the idea of sparking another player if they can afford the chi for it. (Not all veno's are she's too. )
