I have exceeded all the Recommended System Requirements except for the graphics
Mine: 128MB
Recommended System Requirement: 256MB
I make everything in the graphic settings full and it runs fine with the Sun/Moon, Warp, and Shadow option ON but i lag HARD CORE when i am in the city with lots of ppl unless i'm in a place with only a few ppl in the area and when i go out of the city it takes like 1-2 min to adjust and it doesn't lag as much after it adjusts but its only O.K. smooth.
Can any1 suggest settings that i can tweak and make it smooth with the least lag possible but without any noticeable changes in ingame graphics?
thx

Not even with the best pc on the world you will NOT LAG on big cities, its the amount of people and information being traded that cause that lag. I suggest you hit ctrl+F9 when entering big towns (best-performance option).

I'm in the same boat as you, but I run everything lowest. I can put textures maxed, shadows on, sun/moon etc but in the heat of battle it sucks when you lag spike. I guess just turn all your background processes off, and exit explorer.exe after you start up the perfect world launcher. That will free up resources, also try overclocking your card a little bit and changing the settings in the graphics card menu. Like turning off anti aliasing etc for perfect world. Turn customizations off in the UI menu when there's lots of people around, that way it loads the same face for everybody instead of loading hundreds of different faces. In Archosaur turn max performance on, and if none of this works try turning your resolution down a notch. Smaller resolution textures help, but i'm not sure if resolution in this game effects the textures or just the UI. I would also recommend turning shadows off, shadows eat a lot of graphics memory and they aren't that great...i'm sure you wont miss them. Oh and in towns, go to UI menu and turn effects to zero, this will turn off all armour glows etc and will help with town lagg. It's always going to lagg in towns for you if you decide to keep those settings you have now but if you do these tips and don't worry about the graphics, I'm sure you will enjoy it better. It's nicer running through archosaur with all right graphics and decent framerate than running through at 5fps lag spiking every few seconds.
Just to add, your video card's memory isn't everything...just because it recommends 256 or more doesn't mean anything. My 128mb card is a lot faster than a lot of 256mb cards. It more depends on the memory speed (ddr5 for instance) , texture fill rate, clock speeds and all that jazz.
