According to posters with a lot of channeling gear, gear that reduces channeling also reduces casting time. But, effects which eliminate channeling time restore casting time. This means, for example that if you have 51% channeling gear, you would cast gush slower in sutra than outside of sutra. But each spell has its own threshold -- if you had 76% channeling gear, you would cast diving pyrogram faster outside of sutra than in sutra.

In other words:

Of course there are limits, since cooldowns do not change.

But I believe demons are in a better position to take advantage of this than sages, since demons get reduced channeling from demon spark or from demon wellspring quaff. But I am not certain if those effects reduce casting time (like gear) or just channeling time.

Does anyone know if demon bonuses work exactly like gear bonuses?

[Still... critical hit is capped, you can only get +100% dps from critical hits, since your crit chance can not go over 100 (and your critical hit dps bonus multiplies with your dps bonus from channeling increases).]

Except that casting time never changes even when I have -30% channeling and red bubble. Unless you're going to try convincing people that it only works for demon wizards and not sages? Good luck.

here is fun part: RB OVERRIDES effect of Sutra+ Advanced sparks tested Yesterday during TT. Me wonders if RB not overrides effect of items? if it does then channelling items in conjuction with RB became pure useless junk.

P.S "If it's well known" fact good for you , i just haven't payed much attention to it but yesterday it was just annoyed really badly( boss kills were too long due to fact that party was lower than it should be)

Casting time CAN'T be reduced. Simple as that.

Now take a deep breath and write in more clear way. Myself not using sparks at boss fights except for refilling mana pool. My concern is that if all that chase after channel gear justified since it's already can be seen that some skills are screwing effects from ch.gear. Moreover i'm certain on fast channel skills aka Gush,Pyro,Stone the channel gear has 0 effect even when it surpasses 50%.

- Sage triple sparking everytime you can means you can DD without using up any mana whatsoever
- You can't gain a full spark from sutra unless you're hoping for a sage pyro proc, even if you get 3 skills in alongside an ult that's at most 45 chi
- Get to at least 89 before you post random crap, you have no idea what you're talking about
