For a lvl 100 cleric is the rank 8 gear/weapon the best and cheapest one for that level? How do you get the weapon/gear for rank 8? Do you just buy them from the NPC just like Rank 1-7 ones?

72 gold's worth of coin is pretty easy to farm, or at least it was when I was still playing. My CV wand and the +7 were more in total than the cost of the rep + the cost to make the gear pieces. Each piece is 1 mil coins, if I am not mistaken, but I never actually had 8jun... Also you get it from an NPC like all other rank gear.

It might not be that easy to farm now that the demand for nirvana, tt and everything else might have dropped.
Also, it might be harder to find people to farm with.
And then there's the rising god price(1mil at DW and might be 2mil at other servers)

But I think it is still reasonable to farm it out. Just might be a little harder now...
