Is there a reason why the gamma slider doesnt seem to have any affect in windowed mode? It works when I'm in full screen =/

Bump~
I would really like to have this answered. More specifically, does this happen only to me, or do other people experience this as well? I prefer playing in windowed mode because it makes switching to other stuff easier, but I would like to adjust the gamma, which only seems to work in full screen.

i've never tried to use gamma correction in windowed mode, so i'm not sure. i'm guessing, however, that the gamma slider deals with some direct-X property that's display-global and only available in full screen mode. and gamma correction is usually understood to be a whole-display thing, like brightness and contrast or color temperature, so if windows considers gamma that way then it makes kinda-sorta sense that the control for it might not work in windowed mode.
does your graphics card driver have any kind of "control center" applet that might have a global gamma correction slider? i'd try for that, if so.

Thanks a heap ^^ That explanation cleared things up. I did find the global correction slider, and it adjusts the gamma of pwi in windowed mode as I would like =)
